Chiropractic care is not only about promoting spinal function. Chiropractors also emphasise the essential connection between the various parts of the body: the physical, the psychological, and the spiritual. Chiropractic care may help improve both psychological and emotional health, with well-being in particular responding well to chiropractic treatment.

One recent study, which ran over a five-month period, examined the well-being of a group of workers suffering from stress. The participants received ongoing weekly care over the duration of the study, and by the end of the study, most had experienced improvements to their spinal health, and also to their overall well-being.

Another study found that attending a chiropractic health retreat improved health and well-being, with more than 200 participants reporting sustained improvement in personal well-being two months after the retreat.

Chiropractors emphasise a holistic approach to well-being, and highlight the need to make healthy choices in all areas of your life, including those relating to your body and mind, and your spirit. These holistic approaches appear to offer benefits in the long-term.

For more information about the link between chiropractic care and well-being, or to develop a well-being plan of your own, call your chiropractor to arrange an appointment.
